This stuff works great for me. I can take this in the morning without any food and I feel great after a quick warmup. Good amount of caffeine for the extra boost in energy and I don't feel dehydrated at all.
The taste is ok, maybe not quite as good as GU Gel, but the benefit of having a little bit of protein goes a long way.

I've been using Accel Gel on multi-day mountaineering trips and day hikes for three months. It works and, to me, it tastes better than GU or Roctane. The energy boost does seem to last a little longer than the other gels I've tried. It never freezes. To avoid sticky goo on your gear, bring along an extra ZipLock bag for the empties.

This is my favorite energy gel so far as far as texture, flavor, and performance. The taste is great, kind of like chocolate frosting, and the texture is good too: neither too dense nor too watery. It's very easy to digest with a little water, and it doesn't leave your mouth dry or sticky. Accel Gel provides a boost of energy soon after taking it, and it seems to last longer than some other brands, perhaps due to the carb:protein blend. I use them for rides that are either long, intense, or both, or for long runs. I will order this product again!

Accel Gel simply works. It is easy to digest, has a perfect consistency for taking on the move, and isn't nearly as sticky as other gels. My wife and I train for and run many marathons and have tried ALL of the others gels to include PowerGel (old and new), Clif Shots, Gu (old and new), Carb Boom, etc. and none of them are as easy to use as the Accel Gel. Add the fact that it also works very well and provides good energy and it's the best on the market of the gels we've tried.
Note: We've only tried vanilla, but it was very tasty and I don't normally care for vanilla gels.

Used in marathons/ultras and works great for that extra kick deeper in the run. Great taste compared to some "other" gels that I've tried. Can't tell the performance difference w/ or w/o Protien in the gel, but Protien is synthesized during longer endurance events for sustained energy, so I take it for that extra/percieved edge.
